SOHO HOUSE ART WEEK DINNER

SOHO HOUSE ART WEEK DINNER X UVNT
2025

A hidden space in the heart of Madrid became the setting for an exclusive dinner hosted by Soho House and UVNT Art Fair, bringing together the local Cities Without Houses community to celebrate art and design.

For this occasion, I collaborated with Marcos Trueba, founder of Trueba Studio, to transform the venue into an immersive installation, blending sculpture, light, and digital screens. The concept explored a hybrid landscape, where physical and digital elements coexisted, expanding the perception of space through white PLA sculptures, translucent resin, and LED screens.

Chef Javier Bonet, from Sala de Despiece, curated an original menu for guests, including Rossy de Palma, Carolina Herrera, Edgar Kerri, DJ Laura Vandall, Topacio Fresh, actress Lola Rodríguez, actor Jorge Suquet, and designer Bárbara Pan de Soraluce.

CONCEPT

Wetlands, amphibious sanctuaries where water and earth intertwine, are the lifeblood of biodiversity and guardians of ecological balance. Yet, as heralds of a planet crying for help, their waters dry under the relentless aridity of human activity and climate change. Doñana and the Ebro Delta, Spain's treasured wetlands, languish, reflecting the fragility of these essential ecosystems.

In an effort to restore what has been lost, artificial wetlands arise—technological canvases where life and the digital world converge. Modeled in biomaterials through algorithms and robotics, these new landscapes replicate roots, oxygen, and habitats that mimic centuries of natural evolution. Here, technology doesn't replace but weaves a parallel opportunity for biological regeneration in the age of the artificial.

A chromatic proposal captures this ecological lament: a gradient of violet narrating the transition from vitality to decline. From the pale hues of still-living wetlands to the dense purples symbolizing the suffocation of a world in collapse. This violet, a visual warning, invites reflection on the fragility and urgency to preserve what still breathes under tomorrow's skies.
